The Dr. Isa El-Buba Foundation has been in existence and impacting humanity for over a decade- providing scholarships to hundreds of students from poor families, housing to displaced communities and financial support to poor women to boost their businesses, albiet in a low-key and undocumented fashion. It was however, not until 2023 that the Foundation took the step to harmonize and formally operationalize it’s various single strokes of development initiatives, programs, projects and activities as well as to consolidate it’s impacts, for the bigger number.
It was on the heels of this, that the Dr. Isa El-Buba Foundation was officially unveiled in an auspicious ceremony at no lesser significant time than the special commemoration of the 41st Spiritual Birthday Anniversary of it’s Chairman and Founder- Prophet (Dr.) Isa Sadiq El-Buba.
Hundreds of people trooped in to the EBOMI temple and tower to be part of the occasion and described the initiative as a saving grace to the poor.
It was while speaking at the event, that Chairman of the Foundation, His Eminence, Prophet Dr Isa El-Buba among other things, reiterated the continuity and sustainance of the Foundation’s Educational Scholarships with an immediate 200 primary and secondary education scholarships for the less privileged at the TESMA and EBOMI High Schools, all in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
Speaking further, He said the foundation would be dedicated toward fostering holistic human capital development, deepening democratic good governance and sustainable growth in areas that would have direct bearing on the lives of citizens.
”Our mission is to create a positive and lasting change, uplift communities and enable individuals to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives. We will nurture strong families, promote human capital development, deepen democratic governance and foster spirituality among Nigerians” he averred.
”We will also enhance religious harmony through strategic intervention, partnerships, programming and community engagement. This foundation will empower communities to be economically self-sufficient, politically engaged , socially just and educationally empowered. We will strive to create lasting positive change and sustainable development, promoting a brighter and more equitable future for all,” he further declared .
His Eminence also promised that the new foundation would consolidate and sustain on the existing acts of charity and would also provide mentorship to young Nigerians to participate fully in result oriented activities that would widen their horizon towards self reliability.
Earlier at the event, Taraba State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Kefas Agbu, who doubled as the Chairman of the occasion, commended the Prophet Dr. Isa El-buba for the initiative, describing him as a great ”mentor and inspiration” to many Nigerians towards his determination for the emancipation of the poor in the society.
He said, ”El-Buba is not just a Pastor but an inspiration and mentor to many Nigerians. He does not only teach Christ, but guides the people along the right path and offers hope to many others. He has brought positive changes to the lives of many and comforted many who are in difficult situations.
Unveiling the foundation, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, who was represented by Professor Isaiah Essom, called on spirited individuals and groups to emulate the philanthropic gestures of Dr. El-Buba and to support the foundation toward meeting the needs of the poor.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State who was also represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Jeremiah Satmark, commended Prophet Dr Isa El-Buba for the initiative and promised to support any move aimed at providing succour to the people in His state.
